Salem: Carmel (Madore) Bosse, age 85 of Salem, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Arthur W. Bosse.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Abel and Antoinette (D’Amour) Madore. One of twelve children, as a young woman she worked for the former Parker Brothers Game Co. of Salem. For most of Carmel’s life was centered around her family and home. In her later years she worked part time for Hot Watt in Danvers for a period of 10 years.
Carmel was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish and the Canadian Klondike Club both of Salem.
She is survived by 2 sons, Norman A. Bosse of Centerville, VA and Richard G. Bosse and his wife Deborah A. of Peabody, a sister Theresa Fontaine of Salem, 2 grand-daughters, Erin and Pamela Bosse, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 7 brothers, Laurent, Fernand, Albert, Allard, Raymond, Robert & Bert Madore, 3 sisters, Helen Morin, Annette Daly and Blanche Madore.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 8 a.m. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 9 a.m. Visiting hours: Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
