Elianne R. Malo, 96, of Raymond, NH, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in the Greenbriar Terrace Nursing Home in Nashua, NH surrounded by her family. Mrs. Malo was born in Quebec, Canada on December 4, 1913, a daughter of the late Henri and Celina (Gagne) Routhier. She was a resident of Raymond since 1978 and prior to that Derry, NH. Mrs. Malo was a member and volunteer with the Senior Club in Raymond. She loved gardening with plants and vegetables. Her time spent with her family was one of her greatest enjoyments. She was also an avid bowler, having won numerous awards in leagues at Lakeside Lanes in Manchester, NH.
She is survived by four daughters, Rejeanne Zayac of Hooksett, NH, Micheline Gauvin of Greenland, NH, Irene Malo of Weare, NH, and Pauline Malo of Nashua, NH; three sons, Roma Malo of Nashua, NH, Roger Malo of Auburn, NH, and Paul Malo of Goffstown, NH; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Rodolphe Routhier of Springfield, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leo Malo in 1992.
Calling hours were held on Friday, March 5th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial followed in the Old Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond.
