Maria C. (Degranda) Seifart 69, of Hyde Park, died Thursday February 25, 2010 at the Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Cuba, June 4, 1940 a daughter of the late Fernando E. and Maria Elena Degranda, she lived in Hyde Park for many years, and had recently been a patient at the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.
She was raised and educated in Cuba, and came to the United States in the early 1960’s. Mrs. Seifart was a retired security officer for the Boston Housing Authority.
She is survived by her son Alex J. Seifart of Norfolk, a brother Enrique Degranda of Fl., three sisters; Maria E. Canler in Cuba, Georgina Degranda of Swampscott, Ena Ojea of Fl., and her two grandchildren; Skylar & Reese Seifart.
She was the sister of the late Fernando Degranda and Yolanda Hechavarria.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Friday March 5th, at 11AM in St. Jude Church 86 Main St. Norfolk, MA 02056.
Interment will be private.
