Michael David Glick, 57, of Water Valley, MS passed away at his home in Water Valley, MS on March 1, 2010. He was born in Millington, TN to the late John Wesley and Addie Lou Hayles Glick. He served 6 years in the Navy and 15 years in the Army National Guard. During his military career he fought in the Bosnian War. He enjoyed traveling the world. He was a member of the Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS and worked at Borg Warner in ERC Maintenance.
The visitation will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 5 to 7 PM at the Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS with Elder James Hall presiding. The committal will be held in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Lafayette County, MS with Jason Glick, Michael David Glick, II, David Eakes, Mark Story, Will Burns, and Matthew Pryor serving as pallbearers.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy Kay Glick of Water Valley, MS; three daughters, Tammy Wells Eakes (David) of Pass Christian, MS, Michelle Rene? Burns (Will) of Water Valley, MS and Juanita Kay Story (Mark) of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Michael David Glick, II of Lafayette, LA and Jason Paul Glick (Jessica) of Senetobia, MS; a sister, Linda Schmitz (Terry) of Water Valley, MS; eight grandchildren, Keaten Burns, Brennan Allen, Elizabeth August Eakes, Tristan David Glick, Aiden Zane Story, Laine Austin Burns, Sarah Lawson Eakes and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Addie Lou Hayles Glick.
In lieu of flowers the family requests the memorials be made to the American Cancer Association through the Water Valley Area Relay for Life. The Relay mailing address is P. O. Box 301, Water Valley, MS 38965. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS.
