Obituary

PEABODY - Helen (Mackiewicz) Haba, 78, of Peabody, wife of the late Michael Haba, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Radius Healthcare Center, Danvers.

Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Iacztoft) Mackiewicz and was a resident of Peabody for most of her life..

In the 1940's, Helen came to the US with her family and resided in Lynn before moving to Peabody. She was a parishioner of the former St. Michael’s Church in Lynn and enjoyed gardening. She had a strong sense of family and was always there to help when needed.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 15 years at Analogic in Peabody. She previously worked for over 20 years for a clothing manufacturer in Lynn.

Helen is survived by one nephew, Chester “Chet” H. Dzielnik of Peabody, one niece, Caroline M. Blanchette of Peabody, two grand nephews, Michael Masella and Justin Dzielnik and one grand niece, Sarah Blanchette. She was predeceased by one brother, Edward Mackiewicz and one sister, Halina Dzielnik.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 5 to 8 pm. Burial is in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
