Obituary


Mr. Earl Larry Corns, age 65, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010 Village Care in King, NC. Mr. Corns was born in Stokes County on September 8, 1944 to the late Earl W. and Inez Martin Corns. Mr. Corns served his Country in the US Army and worked as a mechanic for Surry Industries and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Corns is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Matthew (Melita) Corns of Dugspur, VA and Jason Corns of Fancy Gap, VA; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Marla)Corns of Pilot Mountain, Johnny Phillips of Stanleyville, Doug (Donna) Phillips of Mt. Airy and Larry (Nelda) Phillips of Westfield. Mr. Corns was preceded in death by his parents and step mother, Adie Corns. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Cox-Needham Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Johnny Hawks officiating with interment to follow in the Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with full Military Honors by King American Legion Post 290. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 7-9 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (www.coxneedham.com) is assisting the Corns family.
