Fairhaven-Diamantina (Pavao) Cummiskey aged 91 years died Monday March 1st 2010 at Our Lady’s Haven. She was the beloved widow of Henry Cummiskey. She was the mother of Thomas and his wife Barbara Cummiskey of Westport. Diamantina was the grandmother of Michael Cummiskey. Mrs. Cummiskey was survived by several nieces and nephews. Several siblings predeceased her.
Mrs. Cummiskey was a daughter of Maria (Tavares) and Francisco C. Pavao. She was born in New Bedford, and lived in this area all her life. She was employed by Bonney Sportswear as a floor lady until her retirement.
Mrs. Cummiskey’s Funeral will be Thursday from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:15 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church, on County St. at 10:15 A.M., Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Relatives an friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in her memory to Beacon Hospice or Our Lady’s Haven.
