BERUBE- Of Malden, February 21st, Rosemary (Palizzolo). Devoted wife for 48 years of Richard Berube. Beloved mother of Michael Berube and his wife Martina of Lexington and Christopher Berube of Malden. Cherished grandmother of Gabriela, Alexandra, Victoria and Nicholas. Also lovingly suvived and remembered by many good friends including her dear cousin Justina Cicirelli of Medford. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith-Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Thursday, February 25th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith-Carroll Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Roslindale. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be sent in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to the charity of your choice.
Rosemary, at 69 years of age, passed away late Sunday evening at home surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer.
Born in South Boston to the late Letterio and Rose (Uvello) Palizzolo, she graduated from South Boston High School and continued her education throughout her life. She was an avid reader, enthusiastic walker and loved to travel.
She resided in Malden with her family since 1968 and worked for many years as a secretary in the Continuing Education Department at Malden Hospital. She also enjoyed working as a waitress at a number of restaurants in the Boston and North Shore area.
