Leopoldo “Leo” Carbone, 82, passed away at the Bear Hill Nursing Home on February 26th, 2010. He was born in Boston on January 4th, 1928 to his parents Raphael and Rose (Balsma) Carbone. Leo was raised and educated in East Boston. He has been a resident of Malden for many years. He served his country honorably during World War II as a soldier in the United States Army. Leo worked as an Autobody Mechanic at Knox Brothers Autobody for many years. He also was a well known and respected teacher at Nashoba Valley Technical High School for over 25 years. He is a member of the American Legion Post 69 in Malden and a former Cub Scout Leader of Pack 621 at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday March 3rd at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 2nd from 4-8 PM.
