Obituary

Simone M. Bricault, 97, of Westerly, formerly of Social St., Woonsocket, died Saturday morning at Westerly Hospital. She was the wife of the late Amos Bricault who died in 1987.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Jules and Mathilde (Burner) Debrosse. She was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life. She also resided in Florida for several years and made her home with her family for the past 10 years, most recently in Westerly.
Mrs. Bricault, along with her late husband Amos, founded the RSVP choir and was a member of Amical Franco-Belge. She was active in the area for many years through supporting her late husband’s musical career.
Simone will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a son, Gilbert P. Bricault, and his wife Patricia, of Westerly, four grandchildren, Gilbert P. Bricault, Jr. of Providence, Kathleen Godin of Coventry, Adam Bricault of Brooklyn, NY, and Brenda Mottola of Westerly, and three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler Mottola, and Connor Godin.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
