Obituary

DANVERS—Steven E. Minahan, 54, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Kathy (Pennell) Minahan, with whom he shared nearly 30 years of marriage.
Born in Beverly on June 19, 1955, he was the son of Jeanne Minahan of Danvers and the late Edward F. Minahan. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1973 as well as the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Steve was an accomplished master electrician and for many years owned and operated B&M Electric.
A lifelong Danvers resident, he was a member of the Polish Club in Danvers.
Steve was one of a kind. He loved life and was a great friend to all. He used to be an avid skier but more recently his favorite past-time was boating. He also loved taking vacations with his family. He was a great husband, father, son, brother, and most of all a great friend. He will truly be missed by all.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves two daughters, Kristina and Jeannine Minahan, both of Danvers, two sisters, Lisa Burke and her husband John of Georgetown and Kimberly Poce and her husband Andrew of East Bridgewater, his mother-in-law, Patricia Pennell of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Scott Minahan.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
