Christopher J. Champagne, 35, of Rochester died Monday February 22, 2010 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born and raised in Rochester, the son of Gilbert P. and Jane M. (Doran) Champagne of Rochester, he lived in St. Cloud, Florida before returning to Rochester last year.
Chris was employed as a special education teacher at Keith Middle School.
He was a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School and received his two Bachelor of Science degrees in Special Education and Physical Education from Bridgewater State College.
Survivors include his parents; a daughter, Cecelia R. Champagne; a brother, Mark D. Champagne and his wife Kelly McLaughlin of South Royalton, VT; a sister, Nicole J. Champagne and her spouse Daryl Isles of Woburn, MA; two nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Saturday, February 27th at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Church, East Freetown at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, February 26th from 5-8 PM.
