Grace E. Cochrane, a lifelong resident of Stoughton,MA, passed away on Thursday October 2,2003, at the Victoria Haven Nursing Facility in Norwood,Ma. She was 78 years old.
Born May 20,1925 in Woodville,Nova Scotia,Canada, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Cochrane and Gladys M. (Ward).
She graduated from Stetson High School in Randolph in 1944.
She was an Accountant and was employed by Nick Thisse and his Company Rehabilitation Associates, of Norwood,MA for over thirty years. She retiredIn 1998.
She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Stoughton. She served the church as a member of their finance group as well as a member of their craft group.
She was also past treasurer of the Stoughton Womans Club.
Left to mourn by cousins: Alta Carey (Bill), Grace Durant (Wm.), Marilyn Dewar (Jack), and their families in Canada. She was predeceased by cousins: Dwight Kinsman, Wm. Kinsman, Harold Kinsman and Doris Jacques.Also the Flaherty Family who were a great part of her life, especially Linda.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 8,2003 at 11AM from the First United Methodist Church, 103 Pleasant Street ( Rt. 139) Stoughton. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, in Braintree,MA. Visiting hours are on Tuesday October 7, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton.
