David R. Lynch 58, of No Scituate formerly of Brookline died on Friday October 3rd at the Tufts- New England Medical Center in Boston after a long illness. Born in Boston, David grew up in Brookline graduating from Brookline High School in 1963. During the early 60’s he was a batboy for the Red Sox. David was a retired detective from the Brookline Police Department. He was the beloved son of the late Agnes M. Lynch. Loving brother of Geraldine Heffernan and her husband Gerald of Needham. Devoted companion of Diane Payne of No. Scituate . Adoring uncle of Karen, Matthew and Pamela Heffernan and great uncle of Zachary VanDyke. Many wonderful friends and cousins also survive him. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Monday October 6 at 9:00 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at Infant Jesus St. Lawrence Church, Route 9, Brookline at 10:00 AM.
