Obituary

Methuen, MA – Ahmed Sahraoui, 57, died Sunday February 21, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.

Ahmed was born in Frenda, Algeria the son of the late Sidi Kada Sahraoui and mother Hajja Fatima Ghzala. Before coming to America Ahmed served in the Algerian Air Force.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he received his Masters in engineering and did his undergraduate work there as well. Mr. Sahraoui was a very devoted husband, father, and brother, who loved life, and more importantly his family. He loved to watch his children play and excel in soccer. Ahmed was a very religious man who belonged to the Selimiye Camii Mosque in Methuen.

Ahmed had been employed as an engineer with Nortel Computer Industries and PictureTel.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years; Edwige Quintal Sahraoui, his daughters Fatima and Karima, brothers; Sohbi, Abdelkader, Abdelkrim, and sisters; Mokhtaria and Youssfia and many other nieces and nephews.

Burial took place on Monday at 12 noon in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.

Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeralopme Home, Inc. 233 Home Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
