Worcester – Arthur H. Berthiaume, Sr., 84, of Worcester, died on Sunday, February 21st in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.
His wife Ruth L. (Ferguson) Berthiaume died in 1993. Arthur is survived by a son Arthur Berthiaume Jr. of Oakham; two daughters Gloria Bryand and her husband Paul of New Ipswich, NH and Ruthanne Epstein and her husband Jon of Oxford; a sister Viola Remillard of Spencer; a daughter in law Deborah Berthiaume of Worcester; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
Mr. Berthiaume was born in Worcester son of the late Arthur and Nellie (Dubois) Berthiaume and is also predeceased by three sons John “Jack”, George and Carl; a daughter in law Eleanor and three brothers and one sister.
He worked as a painter for over 35 years with the Frank L. Adams Painting Company and Local #35. Mr. Berthiaume also owned and operated Berthiaume & Sons Painting Company.
Arthur enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming being outdoors and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 25th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Wednesday, February 24th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
