BLOOD, Bradley Ellsworth
Of Norton formerly of Dedham & Braintree, Bradley Ellsworth Blood, age 87, died Sunday February 21, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He grew up and was educated in Braintree. He was a draftsman at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy before entering the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII where he was assigned to the 354th fighter squadron and served in Schweinfurt, Germany. After the service he was employed at Westinghouse in Hyde Park, the Gaetani Co. in Islington, and Architectural Interiors a family business in Rockland, Mr. Blood was an avid outdoorsman, a Gentleman Cowboy and Story Teller Extraordinaire Bradley, fondly nicknamed “Pudge” was the beloved husband of the late Jennie V. (Iadonisi) Blood. He is survived by his dear and devoted daughter Marcia C. Sacco and her husband Leo of Norton. He was the son of the late Harold Blood of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and the late Claire Quigley Blood of Boston, and the brother of the late Donald B. Blood. Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren Tonya Bridge and her husband Ron Bridge of Norton and Bradley Fitzhenry and his wife Alyssa Freshman-Fitzhenry of Sharon. He was the great grandfather of Cameron and Payton Bridge, and Jenna, James Bradley, and Jordyn Fitzhenry “Pampy” to Stephen Sacco and his wife Jeanne Sacco of Wakefield, Frank Sacco and his wife Denise Sacco of Sharon, Lee Sacco of North Carolina, Dawn Sacco of Norton, Andrea Sacco, Nicholas Sacco, Jessica Sacco, Jeffrey Sacco, Lindsey Sacco and Alexa and Tyler DeRosa, also survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday February 24th at 9:00A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
