Claire Lombardo, 74, passed away on February 20th, 2010 at the Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on May 5th, 1935 to her parents John Patrick and Mary Agnes (Walsh) O’Loughlin. Claire was raised in Cambridge and is a graduate of Cambridge High & Latin High School. She has been a resident of Medford since 1961. Claire was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She has been a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Medford for many years. Bingo was a favorite pastime for Claire. She also enjoyed to travel, especially if the trip might take her to a Bingo game. She is survived by her children; James Lombardo and his wife Patricia of Wakefield, Joseph Lombardo and his late wife Angela of Tewksbury and Robert Lombardo of Wakefield; by her grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth, Kevin and Kyle; and by her siblings; Marian Mahoney of Mattapan, Gertrude Hicks of Florida, Eleanor Dittmer of New York, Margaret Crowley of Cambridge, Catherine Belbin of Texas, Carol O’Loughlin of Cambridge and Robert O’Loughlin of Waltham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Claire was predeceased by her husband Sebastiano Lombardo and by her siblings; Doris Cuddy and John, Francis, George, Joseph and Kenneth O’Loughlin. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Medford on Tuesday February 23rd, 2010.
