Thomas M. Halloran, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at his daughter's home in Methuen following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 69 years old.
Tom was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School. He enlisted into the United States Navy in May of 1960 and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He was discharged in April of 1964. Tom worked several years for Dynisco Industries and later worked many years as a warehouse mamager for Bisco Industries.
Tom is the beloved husband of Catherine M. (Hurley) Halloran. He is the devoted father of Heather Monahan and her husband Michael of Methuen, Thomas Halloran and his wife Stacy of Dracut and Jay Wallus of Peabody. He is the loving grandfather of Jayna Wallus, Lily and Gavin Monahan. He is the beloved brother of Margaret Scanzillo and her husband James of Florida, Anna Scalli of New York and the late Francis Halloran and Mary Ryan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tom's Funeral on Monday, February 22, 2010, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, at 10 a. m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours on Sunday, February 21, 2010, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Memorial donations in Tom's name maybe made to The Salvation Army, 25 Shawmut Road, Canton, MA 02021.
