Sarah Nadine Downs Caulder, 75, of Tifton died Friday, February 19, 2010, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Larry Cone will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Willie Deal, David Deal, Berry Downs, Tony Downs, Jamie Harbin and Lance Caulder will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 21, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Caulder was born on October 30, 1934 in Worth County and was the daughter of John Henry Downs and Cora Spence Downs, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carson Edward Caulder, who died in 2008; two brothers and one sister. She was retired from Avondale Mills and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Caulder is survived by three sons, Randall Caulder, Ricky Caulder and Michael Caulder, all of Tifton; one daughter, Bernice Harper of Enigma; one brother, Kenneth Downs of Leesburg; two sisters, Pearl Perry of Tifton and Betty Haynes of Leesburg; six grandchildren, Jamie Harbin, Lance Caulder, Kyle Caulder, Tiffany Caulder, Coty Caulder and Lakin Caulder; and two great grandchildren, Ian Caulder and Charlie Caulder.
