Odum- Vicki M. Griffis, age 57, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Memorial Health in Savannah after a brief illness. She had lived the past 28 years in Wayne County, was a employee of Jesup Ford for over 20 years and continued to work for Keith Morgan. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Surviving is her husband of 29 years: Chris Griffis of Odum; two sons: Scott and Judith Taveirne of Odum and Jason Taveirne and fiancé Rachel Sellers of Odum; three grandsons: Michael, Ryan and Joshua Taveirne; one granddaughter: Cadence Sellers; and several nieces and nephews and other family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2 pm from the Altamaha Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack Lee officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 7 pm at the funeral home.
Active Pallbearers will be Bryan Ray, Dennis Broker, Michael Westberry, Alan Hayes, John Yonkosky and Adrian Swain.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Vicki's family, friends and co-workers.
