LEE - Dorothy Jane Lee, 67, passed away Wednesday morning, February 17, 2010 at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. She was born August 16, 1942 in Itmann, WV and resided in Yulee, FL for the majority of her life raising her family. She was retired from Quality Health Nursing Home in Fernandina Beach, FL. Dorothy loved quilting and chicken n' dumplings, as well as devoting much time to her family which she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira J. Lee; her parents, Edgar and Mary Goode; brothers, James Goode and Elvan Levi Goode, Sr.; and granddaughter, Letha J. Middleton. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Bennefield of Yulee, FL and Wanda (Andy) Middleton of Waynesville, GA; two stepdaughters, Stacey (Van) McQuaig of Blackshear, GA and Judy Young of Jacksonville, FL; two stepsons, George (Molly) Lee of Yulee, FL and Joe (Karyn) Lee, also of Yulee; two brothers, Beauford Goode of Fernandina Beach, FL and George (Deleene) Goode of Yulee, FL; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Bishop Larry Osburn officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the time of service. Interment will follow in the family burial estate at Green Pine Cemetery.
