H. Diane (Leary) Donovan, a lifelong resident of Sharon, died Tuesday, February 16 at her home under the care of Old Colony Hospice. She was the wife of Lt. Harold J. “Hap” Donovan, Sharon PD (Ret.). Born in Sharon, she was raised and educated in Sharon and a graduate of Sharon Schools. Mrs. Donovan worked as a Secretary in the Sharon High School Guidance Department for many years. She retired several years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Nancy Buckley and her husband Joseph of Stoughton, Patty Benner of Sharon and Stephen Donovan of ME. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, February 20 at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon.
