DUDLEY - Mary A. (Szacik) Miller, 96, formerly of Joshua Place, died Tuesday, February 16, in Webster Manor. Her husband of 25 years, Stanley J. Miller, died in 1957.
She leaves a son, Robert S. Miller and his wife Mary E. of Uxbridge; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and her former daughter-in-law, Elaine Timilty of Webster. Her son Lawrence R. Miller of Spencer died in 2007.
She was born in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of Stanislaw and Agatha (Kizior) Szacik. She lived in Webster until moving to Dudley in 1970.
Mrs. Miller was a stitcher at Webster Shoe Company, Bentley Shoe Company and Desco Shoe, all in Webster, before retiring in 1979.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. She was active in the Joshua Place Tenants Association for many years.
The funeral will be held Friday, February 19, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home,
340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A calling period will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday, February 19, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.
