Obituary

Virginia L. (Pepin) Laurent, 94, died Friday, Feb. 12 in St. Patrick’s Manor.

Her husband Roger L. Laurent died in 1999. She leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She and her husband lived in Framingham for over 45 years, from the late 1950’s thru early 1990’s, before she moved to an assisted living facility in Natick several years after his death.

Mrs. Laurent was born in Worcester, daughter of Earl R. and Clara (Gorman) Pepin. She graduated from Classical High School and New England Business School both in Worcester. She was a member of the Church of St. George in Framingham. She was an office manager at Carlson’s Mills in Framingham for 24 years before retiring in 1986. She was a very strong and independent woman. She loved animals of all kinds and supported many animal causes and societies throughout her life. She and Roger loved to travel, spending time on the coast of Maine and on Cape Cod.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 20 at 11:00 AM in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Rte 9 (Main St.),Spencer. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to MetroWest Humane Society, P.O. Box 1068, Framingham, MA 01701. J.
