Salem: Rita A. (Lamarre) Cappuccio, age 91 a life long resident of Salem, died Tuesday morning, February 16, 2010, at the Sutton Hill Center in North Andover following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence M. Cappuccio.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Rosa M. (Brochu) Lamarre. Rita first worked for GTE Sylvania for a number of years and later worked for Eaton Drug Store at the Beach Bluff store in Marblehead. She retired from the Eaton company in 1980.
Rita was a devoted member of Ste. Anne Parish and prior to her illness was active in many parish activities. She was a member of the League of Catholic Women and was also a member of the Associates of the Sisters of St. Chretienne.
She is survived by 4 sisters, Lauretta O’Brien & Theresa Grenier both of Salem, Martha Diebner of New Hampshire, Rose Marie Darisse of Middleton, 4 brothers, Robert Lamarre of New Hampshire, Laurent Lamarre of Danvers, Rene Lamarre of Salem, Lucien Lamarre of Haverhill, and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Clarence and Rosario Lamarre, and her sisters, Jeannette Searles, Julie Marks and Bernadette Anketell.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 8 a.m. to be followed by her funeral mass at 9 a.m. in Ste.
