Mildred M. DeLong, 95 of Groton, MA, died Friday after a brief illness in the Apple Valley Center, Ayer, MA.
Born in Somerville, she lived in Groton for the past 2 years and formerly of Medford. She was the daughter of the late Josephine (Beliveau) and Joseph Marcy.
Mildred was a Telephone Operator at Massachusetts General Hospital for 20 years and retired in 1976. She also was a member of the Medford Women’s Club.
Beloved wife of the late Fay A. DeLong. Devoted mother of Robert J. DeLong and his wife Patricia of Townsend and the late Carole A. Marean, Thomas A. and Susan J. DeLong. Also survived by 7 loving granddaughters and 5 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Carl Marcy of Tewksbury, and the late Herbert and Richard Marcy, Carol Wallace and Beulah Forest.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday February 20 at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9:30 - 11 AM.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
