Rutland, VT- Dorothy M. (O’Connell) Boucher, 94, died peacefully Sunday, February 14th, 2010 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center in Vermont, surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed.
Born on September 16, 1915 in Lawrence, MA, Dorothy was the daughter of George S. and Dolora (Blain) O’Connell. She attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Lawrence. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Greater Lawrence American Red Cross for 14 years, retiring in 1980.
Mrs. Boucher attended the InterAge Day Program in Rutland, VT and was a communicant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church of Rutland, VT. While living in Lawrence, MA, Dorothy was a communicant of St. Theresa’s/Our Lady of Good Counsel parish and a member of the Rainbow Association there. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed traveling and playing cards.
The widow of Raymond P. Boucher , survivors include her children, Patrice Boucher of Albany, NY; Mrs. Louise A. Kenney and her husband Michael of Rutland Town, VT; James R. Boucher and his wife Kathleen of Concord, MA; three grandchildren, Edward P. Kenney, Jacqueline L. Feild and her husband Henry, and Matthew J. Boucher, as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGMENTS:
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 18th from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday the 19th at 9 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa’s Church 22 Plymouth St., in Methuen,MA.
