ROCKINGHAM: Mrs. Mary Ruth Herring, 80, of Rockingham, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the Hermitage Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16, in Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. James Quick officiating.
Mary was born in Anson County on November 16, 1929 to the late Henry and Olive Mulkey Singleton. She was a member of Pee Dee Baptist Church and retired from the Richmond County School System cafeterias. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack C. Herring, a son Michael Herring, and a daughter, Jackie Herring.
She is survived by a brother, Joe Singleton of Wilmington; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8:00 PM at Russell-Marks Funeral Home.
