Emily F. (Higgins) Proctor, 62, of Norton formerly of Rockland passed away on Friday February 12, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Kent “PaPa” Proctor.
Born in Boston, MA on November 9, 1947 she was a loving daughter of the late John and Mary (Geary) Connolly.
Emily grew up in Dedham and was educated in Dedham public schools. For over 5 years Mrs. Proctor was employed as a cashier at the Wheaton College cafeteria in Norton.
Her favorite times spent were those in the presence of her adoring family, especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed vacationing in the Lake Winnipesaukee area of New Hampshire, was an avid bingo player and loved trips taken to the Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut.
Mrs. Proctor had made her home in Norton for the past 10 moving from Rockland where she had resided for many years.
In addition to her beloved husband she is survived by her dear and devoted children Diana Poirier and her husband Daniel of Norton, Eileen Costa and her husband John of Norton, Heather Reiser and her companion Michael of Norton, Anthony Almeida of Taunton and Sean Almeida of Norton. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Carchedi and her husband Joseph of Easton and her cherished grandchildren Brittney Costa, Kelsey Costa, Jayson Poirier, Alyssa Poirier, Victoria Reiser, Isabella Almeida and Anthony Almeida.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday February 17th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
A funeral service will immediately follow at the conclusion of visiting hours at 8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
