New Bedford-Rita P. Morris age 75 died on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Morris. Rita was the loved mother of Robert A. Morris of New Bedford. Rita was the sister of the late John and Arthur Moniz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morris was the daughter of the late Emily (Amaral) and John Moniz. She was born in New Bedford where she lived all her life. She was employed as an office worker retiring from AFC Cable.
Mrs. Morris Funeral will be Tuesday at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:00 A.M with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.
