WORCESTER-Eugene A. Degre, 70, of Worcester, died Thursday, February 11 at St. Francis Home, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 33 years, Joan M. (Kaseta) Degre; five children, Debbie Labelle in Fl., Bruce Degre of Barre, Eugene Degre of Oxford, Kerrie Shulten, his part time care giver and with whom he lived, and Sheri Degre of Worcester. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Degre of Bellingham and Raymond Degre of Pawtucket, RI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was born and raised in Woonsocket, RI, the son of Hormisdas Degre and Jeanette (Fontaine) Degre and was also the stepson of Norman Belanger. He was an Air Force Veteran and was deployed in support of the Berlin Crisis. Eugene was a car salesman in the Worcester area for many years.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 17 from 4:00–6:00 PM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St., Worcester. Burial will be private.
