Alice F. (Simono) Rothenhafer 86 years of age of West Bridgewater died Wednesday February 10, 2010 at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Henry G. Rothenhafer. Alice was born in East Bridgewater a daughter of the late Frank and Louise (Kingston) Simono. She had been a resident of West Bridgewater for most of her life and was a 1943 graduate of Howard High School.
Alice had worked in the business office of Bostonian Shoe in Whitman for many years. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband and family. She had been a member of the Twentieth Century Catholic Club and their bowling league. Alice was a longtime communicant of St. Ann Church and volunteered for their Bingo and Food Pantry programs.
Alice leaves many nieces and nephews including Karen Johnson of Brockton and her daughters Kimberly, Kellie and Ashley. She also leaves her god daughter Taylor Bousquet of Plymouth. Alice was the sister of the late Evelyn Bousquet, Mildred Overton and William Simono.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church at 9 am. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours Monday 2-6 pm. Donations in memory of Alice may be made to St. Ann Church, 103 N. Main St., W. Bridgewater, MA 02379.
