Carol Cook Davis, 49, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2010, in Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Mike Ruffin officiating.
Mrs. Davis was born May 17, 1960 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to Patricia Ashley Cook and the late Robert H. Cook. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1978. She was a graduate of Ben Hill–Irwin Technical College in Cosmetology. She is the Director of Weekday Pre-School Program at First Baptist Church, where she was a member and Sunday school teacher. She was a former Telephone Operator for G.T.E. and a former employee of Colony Discount Drug Store. She was a loving, wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years: James H. “Jimmy” Davis, Jr. of Fitzgerald; son & daughter-in-law: James R. & Ashley Davis of Pooler; daughter: Lauren Patricia Davis of Fitzgerald; Mother: Patsy Ashley Cook of Fitzgerald, brother & sister-in-law: Ashley & Dee Ann Cook of Fitzgerald and Mother-in-law: Jackie Davis of Fitzgerald.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Weekday Pre-School Program, P.O. Box 367, Fitzgerald, GA 31750 or to the American Cancer Society, 323 Pine Ave., Albany, GA 31707.
