New Bedford - Hilda (Alves) Goes, age 88 years, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Oaks. Hilda was the wife of the late Carmin A. Goes. The loved mother of Carl Goes of Exeter RI., James Goes of North Dartmouth, Ken Goes of South Dartmouth, Michael Goes of Sarasota, FL. and the late Franklin C. Goes.
Mrs. Goes was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria M. (Cunha) Alves. She was born in Dartmouth, MA. She was a life long resident. She was a seamstress at various mills until her retiremet.
Mrs. Goes funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Saturday at 7:45 A.M., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth, at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday evening from 5 - 7 P.M.
