L. Beatrice “Bea” (Cobbett) Greene, 91 years of Brockton died February 8, 2010 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Malcolm L. Greene. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she was the daughter of the late E. Eugene and Florence (Washburn) Cobbett. Bea loved working with children and had been employed for 16 years in the Brockton Public School Department in the Cafeteria and as a Teachers Aide. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, scrabble and summer vacations at the Cape.
Bea was the loving, caring, unselfish mother of Malcolm, Jr., Daniel and his wife Kathy, Janice Fitzgerald and her husband Charlie and the late Timothy Greene. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Sharon Cleveland, Valerie Flanagan, Michelle, Brian and Katharine Greene, Shawn and Ryan Fitzgerald; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister Shirley Burr; a former daughter-in law Roberta Greene and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marion Thayer, Florence Corkum, Edith Cobbett, Mildred Luback, Gladys Guilemette, Harold Cobbett and Howard Cobbett.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 10:30am. Visitation 9:30-10:30am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
