Connelly, Catherine Marie “Kay”, 99, Born March 29, l9l0, passed peacefully in her home in Marshfield, MA on Monday, Feb. 8. Kay joins in Heaven her husband and her two sons, Brian J. and Dennis M. Connelly. Her long life will be celebrated by her sons Thomas J. of Mashpee and Paul M. Connelly of Port St.John, Fl., her three Daughters-in-Law, Janet, Phyllis and Freda, eight grandchildren and eight more great grandchildren, who will remember her as “Nana the Great”. Kay married Thomas G. Connelly in l936. They raised their four sons in the Savin Hill neighborhood of Dorchester, East Milton and summers in Marshfield. Through the years, Kay was a hairdresser, worked at the East Milton Flower Shop, enjoyed socializing with many close friends, shopping, knitting and bowling. She was a member of the St. Agatha’s Parish Catholic Daughters, Milton and enjoyed many afternoons at the Marshfield Senior Center.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, February ll at the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., rte. l39, Marshfield.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ll a.m., Friday, February l2 at ST. Ann by The Sea Church, 591 Ocean St., Ocean Bluff, Marshfield.
Burial will be at Mayflower Cemetery Duxbury.
