Salem: Anne E. (Vivier) (Guilmet) Doucette, age 102, died Sunday, February 7, 2010, at Radius Healthcare of Danvers. She was the wife of the late Harold A. Doucette.
Born in 1907 in Providence, R. I. she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Claudia (Lachance) Vivier. Anne spent her early years in Providence and moved to Salem in 1930. Throughout her many years, in addition to Providence, she has lived in Salem, Beverly, Saugus and Danvers. She was loved by her devoted extended family and her caregivers. She was the mother of the late Rene H. Guilmet.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Marylyn R. Guilmet of Danvers, 2 step-sons, Robert Doucette and his wife Jeanette of Saugus, Richard Doucette and his wife Susan of Florida, 2 step-daughters, Mary Taylor and her husband Gordon and Carol Faragi and her husband Michael all of New Hampshire. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 9 a.m. in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. A committal service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
