Mildred Mary (Gaudet) Gaudette, 80, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Feb. 8, 2010 at Essex Park Nursing Home in Beverly.
Born in Lawrence on Aug. 25, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Bernard) Gaudet. She was raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada and moved back to the United States when she was a teenager. She had been employed at Sylvania, Hotwatt and Kmart. Mildred was employed with Kmart for over twenty five years and most recently had worked at McKinnon’s in Danvers. She was an avid New England sports fan. She enjoyed reading and completed the Salem News crossword puzzle daily. Millie also loved to travel, most recently to Alaska.
She is survived her former husband Paul Gaudette of FL, three sons and a daughter in-law, Kevin of Middleboro, Thomas of Thailand and John and Cindy of Danvers, two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Gertz of Peabody and Deborah and Stephen Mahoney of Beverly, four brothers, Leo, Nelson, Russell, and Richard Gaudet all of Canada and a sister Catherine Densmore of Danvers, grandchildren, James Gertz and his wife Kerry, Kathleen and James Mahoney and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Wilfred Gaudet.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Feb. 12, 2010 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. hrs are Thurs. from 4pm-8pm at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
