Sudbury: Frances L. (LeClair) Lambert died peacefully in the comfort of her family from natural causes at the age of 91 on Saturday, February 6, 2010.
She was born in Brighton, England on October 26, 1918 the daughter of the late Francis LeClair and Josephine Nancy (DelPonte) LeClair.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by her devoted and loving daughter, Nancy E. D’Antonio and her husband Robert of Sudbury and Roy R. Lambert, Jr. and his wife Julietta of Stone Harbor, NJ. She was the cherished grandmother of Jeffrey D’Antonio and his wife Traci of Framingham and Kristine Frallicciardi and her husband John and their son Dominic Frallicciardi all of Sudbury, She is also survived by her sister Josephine Skrocki and her husband Casimer of Bath, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Fran spent her formative years in Billerica and graduated from Billerica High School. She was a graduate of the Bradshaw School of Business in Lowell. She previously resided in Wayland and Sudbury and for over 24 years in Orlando, FL. She retired after 10 years as the bookkeeper for the Wayland Town Crier. Fran was an accomplished seamstress and also loved to crochet. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith and a supporter of St. Anselm Church in Sudbury. She was a navy wife of 57 years to the late Roy R. Lambert who died in September of 1997 and together they traveled extensively. She was an avid walker and will be remembered for the “Red Hat” she wore. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed by all the lives that she touched.
Visitations will be held today, February 8, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Route 30), Wayland.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Holy Family Chapel of St. Patrick Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham.
Fran will be interred next to her husband Roy in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington Virginia at a later date.
