Elizabeth (Livramento) Duarte, 89, of New Bedford died Sunday February 7, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Amaro Duarte.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joaquim and Clara (Brito) Livramento, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Duarte was formerly employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company until her retirement.
She was devoted to her family.
Survivors include three children, Joseph A. Livramento and his wife Michelle, Doreen Figueiredo and her husband Carl, and Donna Fielder and her husband Michael, all of New Bedford; a brother, Edwin Livramento of New Bedford; a sister, Irene Livramento of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Joseph Livramento II, Maia Rodrigues, Corey and Jacob Figueiredo, Jordan Fielder, and Marlyn Johnson; seven great-grandchildren, Simone and Niyaye Livramento, Adiah Rodrigues, D're, Amari, Amiah, and Aubri Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Arthur Livramento, Walter Livramento, Lillian Ramos, Mary Fortes, Estelle Livramento, and Antonio Brito.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
