Edna I. (Hughes) Petroni passed away on February 7, 2010. She was 86 years old.
Born in Lynn, Edna was a longtime resident of Malden. She worked as a home health aid for Inter City for many years. Edna was an avid bingo player and a member of a bereavement group in Malden for 8 years. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Edna was the wife of Ernest Petroni and the beloved mother of Donna Buccheri and her husband Donald of Haverhill and the late Sandra J. Fallano. She was the dear sister of Madeline McDonald and the late EthelHughes and late William H. Hughes. Edna was the cherished grandmother of Kimberly Fucci, Anthony J. Fallano, Kevin Fallano, William Lamphier, Michelle Teixiera and Thomas Lamphier and the great-grandmother of Steven, Natalie and Felicia Fallano, Michael and Sandra Fucci and Ethan H. Lamphier.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, February 10th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass Of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, February 9th from 4-8 p.m. Interment Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
