Camille R. Sante, 90, of Whitman, died Thursday February 4th at the St Joseph Manor Healthcare in Brockton after a period of failing health .He was the husband of the late Josephine S. (Boyd) Sante.
Camille was born in East Bridgewater, son of the late Santini and Sarah (LaRocque) Sante. He was a life time resident of Whitman, a graduate of Whitman High and he was also a graduate of Franklin Institute in Boston. Camille worked as a plumber for many years for Hatch and for the Getchell-O’Reilly Plumbing Company in Whitman. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII as a master sergeant for 1942-1945.
He was a member of the Holy Ghost Church, the American Legion Post 22 and the Plumber’s Local 276 Union.
He is survived by his family Joseph and Monica Cook, Geraldine Matteson, Elizabeth Turner, Lorraine Lemon, Marsha Lemon Marsh, Michael Lemon, William Lemon, Jr., Edward Scott Lemon and Kathleen Lemon Strackan; also many grand nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
His services will be held on Wednesday February 10th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00am in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. His visitation will be on Tuesday February 9th from 3:00-7:00PM .Donations may be made in his name to the St. Vincent DePaul C/O the Holy Ghost Church, Washington St., Whitman, MA 02382
