John Calvin “JC” Haley, 82, of Summerville died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Trident Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 8, 2010 at 3 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Entombment will be held at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 2 o’clock until the hour of service. Mr. Haley was born April 3, 1927 in Manning, South Carolina, son of the late Calvin W. Haley and Mamie Corbett Haley. He was a graduate of Manning High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II as Sergeant. He was a member of the VFW Post #3433. He retired as a cargo supervisor with State Ports Authority and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Surviving are: 1 sister: Carolyn McDonald (Ertel) of Summerville, 5 nieces, 1 nephew and several great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, 2 brothers, and 1 Niece: Richard Haley, Elbert Haley and Sandra Durrence
