Helen Beatrice Mann, 80, Clarksville, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Dr. Allen Buckman, Rev. Jeremy Lott, and Deacon Dominick Azzara officiating. Burial will be in Williamson County Memorial Gardens in Franklin, TN. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born February 14, 1929 in Kings Park, Long Island, NY daughter of the late Max Bakenhus and Frances Buchnanan Bakenhus. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Warren Bakenhus. She was a retired Nursing Home Administrator and Personnel Consultant. She was a member of the American College of Nursing Home Administrators, attended Fordham Hospital School of Nursing, Bronx, NY and received her nursing home administrator's degree from Presention College, Aberdeen, SD. Mrs. Mann was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Claus (Dutch) Mann; three sons, John Russell Mann (Bonnie), Madison, Alabama; Douglas C. Mann, Colorado Springs, CO; and Dr. David F. Mann (Caroline), Knoxville, TN; a brother, John Bakenhus; and five grandchildren, Curtis, Emily, Truda, Robert and William Mann. Pallbearers will be John R. Mann, Douglas C. Mann, Dr. David F. Mann, Kerry Parker, William Elliott, Joe Elliott, Jimmy Barnett, and Curt Mann.
