Millie Gillis (Fields) age 96 formerly of Canton of Walpole passed away February 3rd at the Thomas Upham House in Medfield. Born and raised in Lowell, she graduated from Lowell High School & Tewksbury State Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Nurse for the Canton Public Schools. She was a founding member of the Ponkapoag Civic in Canton, a founding member of the St. Gerard Majella Church Altar Guild, former member of the Canton Garden Club and the Nurses Guild at St. John the Evangelist Church. She previously lived in Canton in Canton for 45 years before moving to Walpole in 1992. Beloved wife of the late Duncan J. Mother of Milly Pereira of Franklin & Marcia J. Driscoll of Medfield. Grandmother of Douglas & David Pereira & Michelle Carbeau. Sister of the late Veronica Cote, Frederick & Donald Fields. Also survived by 4 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Saturday morning at 10.
