Reynolds of Brockton, September 25, 2003, Larry Reynolds, 71 years. Husband of Joan M. (Mahoney) Reynolds. Father of Atty. Marie Reynolds of Boston, George Reynolds ofScituate and Glenn Reynolds of New York. Grandfather of Gregory and Jake Reynolds of Scituate and 4 granddaughters of New York. Brother of Desiree White of Plymouth and Marcia Ward of Newton.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St. Colman Church at 10 am. Burial in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Obituary

Lawrence L. Reynolds died Thursday morning at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a courageous 7 year battle with leukemia. Born in Boston, son of the late George P. and Desiree (Gleason) Reynolds. A graduate of Boston College High School Class of 1950, he attended Suffolk University and interrupted his studies to enlist in the US Marine Corps. He was a combat Veteran of the Korean War and served from January 1951 through October 1952. Following his discharge he returned to Suffolk University. Mr. Reynolds had been a Brockton resident since 1957. He was a longtime realtor and in 1968 established Rhodes Realty which he operated with his wife, Joan, for 30 years. For four decades he ran the American Legion Baseball in Brockton. He founded the Spartan Athletic Club of Brockton in 1978 to promote track, basketball and baseball. In 1980 the Spartan Athletic Club won the State America Legion Baseball Championship. He was a member of VFW Post 697 in Whitman and a former Vice President of the First Marine Division Association.

Survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan M. (Mahoney) Reynolds, a daughter Atty. Marie Reynolds of Boston, two sons, George Reynolds of Scituate and Glenn Reynolds of New York and six grandchildren. He is survived by two sisters, Desiree White, of Plymouth and Marcia Ward of Newton, and is also survived by a niece and six nephews.
