Methuen, Ma. – Dominic J. Rano, 84, died Sunday January 31, 2010 at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre with his family by his side.
Mr. Rano was born in Berlin, NH son of Frank, Sr. and Bridget (Labelle) Rano and for 40 years worked as a lineman in the Berlin Paper Mills.
Dominic was a longtime resident of Derry, New Hampshire and a veteran in the United States Army before his honorable discharge.
He belonged to Methuen Post # 122 American Legion.
Among his many enjoyments was bowling. He was in a bowling league, was a very handy man who loved to go camping.
Dominic is survived by his wife of 26 years; Lorraine (Binette) Rano, Children; Dennis Rano and his wife Claudette, Judy Chapman, Daryl Rano and his wife Sue, step-children: Cathleen Bergeron, and her husband Thomas, Colleen Sebastian, Michael Condon and his wife Leeann, Kelly Armstrong and her husband Gayton, and Martin Grogan. Brothers and sisters: Frank Rano and wife Lorraine, Freddy Rano and wife Betty, Madeleine Treamer, Nicky Rano and wife Debby and nephew Charlie Cropley.
Grandchildren Ronald Sebastian, , Edward Poirier, Timothy Armstrong, Kala Bergeron, Corey Armstrong, Sean Sebastian, Jeffrey Chapman, Skye Rano, Tiffanie Rano, Anthony Rano, greatgrandchildren: Lilly rose Sebastian and Emm Grace Sebastian.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM in Saint Monica Parish in Methuen.
Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8-10:15 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
