MULLEN - Gloria Ann Mullen, 50, of Yulee passed away Saturday morning, January 30, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Fernandina Beach. She was born May 10, 1959 in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Yulee, FL in 1970. She was a member of the 1977 graduating class of Fernandina Beach High School. Mrs. Mullen was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served under NATO Command as well as with drug interdiction forces in the Caribbean. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter, and was an outstanding grandmother. She was proud to be a retired military veteran. She was predeceased by two daughters, Christie Tate and Brenda Burch; her father, Brownie Yonn; and a brother, Walter Yonn. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Larry Mullen of Yulee, FL; three sons, Keith Mullen of Jacksonville, FL, David Tate (Angie) of Yulee, FL and Jonathan Tate (Karen), also of Yulee; two daughters, Pamela Mullen of Jacksonville, FL and Amanda Hatton (Greg) of Callahan, FL; her mother, Ester Yonn of Yulee, FL; mother in law, Helen Mullen of Fairmont, VA; one brother, Timothy Yonn (Angie) of Yulee, FL; a sister, Denise Norfleet, also of Yulee; 10 grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 Wednesday, February 3, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the U S. Navy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Green Pine Funeral Home.
