Sandra L. ( Lashus ) Campbell, age 52 years of Stoughton passed away unexpectedly Monday January 25, 2010 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the beloved daughter of James P. Lashus of Stoughton and the late Claire V. ( Peyton ) Lashus. She was the loving mother of Shelby Campbell of Stoughton and the wife of Mark Campbell of Hudson,MA. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Vincent J. and Scott D. Lashus. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Campbell was born on June 21, 1957 in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a 1976 graduate of Stoughton High School. She also attended Massasoit Community College.
Sandra was employed as a Pre – School Teacher with the Stoughton Extended Day School Program located within the former E. A. Jones School in Stoughton. This was where she was able to fulfill her desires to teach and mentor young children. She was also a member of the former Stoughton Civil Air Patrol.
Her hobbies included traveling to Georgia to visit her late brother Vince, reading romance novels, cooking, music and a strong desire just to enjoy all that life has to offer.
A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Wednesday February 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. The Pastor Reverend Joseph P. McDermott ( Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton), officiating. A visiting hour with the family will be held prior to the service starting at 10 A.M. All are welcome to attend. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations in Sandra’s memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.
